Job Title: Material Handler Location: Silver Spring, MDPayrate: $20.39/hr

In this vital role, you will support the preparation, processing, and distribution of essential materials within a dynamic laboratory environment. Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing formalin-fixed tissue for laboratory processing.
  • Manage the receipt and organization of large bulk shipments, ensuring accurate accessioning and documentation in the computer system.
  • Conduct periodic audits to track and locate materials, maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Load and unload shipments, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials.
  • Maintain inventory records and conduct quality assurance inspections, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure cleanliness and order in the workspace, including regular maintenance of equipment and storage areas.
  • Transport patient materials between operational locations as needed.
  • Implement and monitor procedures for effective storage, distribution, and disposal of materials and supplies.
  • Collaborate with professional staff to assist in material processing and logistics support.
Job Requirements: 
  • High School Diploma or college degree
  • 1+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and climb ladders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
